It’s good to leave a bit of moisture on the skin after a bath or shower if you suffer from a dry skin condition. Applying a good moisturizing cream like Eucerin will allow this moisture to stay trapped in the skin and help keep the skin soft.

It’s hard to believe that back in 1870 in Edinburgh, Scotland, male medical students rioted against the idea of admitting women into medical school. Today, more and more women are entering medicine and it is predicted that in 2027, half the doctors in Canada will be women.

There was a survey done in the United Kingdom recently that found that 10% of adults don’t fully understand what their medications do to treat their condition. Also 25% didn’t take their medications as the doctor ordered. Understanding how your medications work will motivate you to take them properly.

Often you’ll find an auxiliary label on your prescription bottle that says “Do not take any dairy products, antacids or iron preparations with this medication”. Certain antibiotics and osteoporosis medications won’t absorbed properly when taken with these products. Usually two hours is sufficient time to wait although with some medications, it could be longer.

Part of our job as your pharmacist is to clarify the directions on your medication bottle to ensure you get the best possible effect from the medication. We can also help you understand how they work as well. We are ready to be your pharmacist.
